Dr James Heffer – Occupational Health Physician
MA, MSc, BM BCh, Dip Occ Med, DDAM.
Dr Heffer studied medicine at Oxford University and qualified in 1982. He trained in general practice and since 1990 has also worked as an Occupational Health Physician. He holds diplomas in Occupational Medicine as well as Disability Assessment Medicine. He is an approved doctor under the Lead Regulations and holds the Certificate in Hand Arm Vibration (HAVS) assessment. He believes that successful companies depend on the health and well being of their workforce to give long term prosperity to individual workers, the company and the nation. His aim is to support companies to achieve these outcomes.
Dr Fiona Tees – Occupational Health Physician
MBBS, MRCGP, Dip O&G, Dip Diving Medicine, Dip Occ Med
Dr Tees studied at University College London and then spent two years working in New Zealand. She trained as a GP in England and worked in general practice for twenty five years. She has also worked in oncology. Dr Tees started in Occupational Medicine in 2014 and developed this field of interest by undertaking her Certificate in Hand Arm Vibration and a Diploma in Ionising Radiation. She enjoys scuba diving and is registered with the Health and Safety Executive to provide medicals for divers. She also has an interest in expedition and travel medicine and leads the travel clinic.
Dr Rebecca Salmon – Occupational Health Physician
BMedSci, BMBS, MRCGP, DRCOG, Dip Occ Med
Dr Salmon trained at The University of Nottingham Medical School, qualifying in 2005. She spent time working in New Zealand and also volunteered as a doctor at the London 2012 Olympics. She qualified as a GP in 2011 and continues to work as an Associate GP in Bradford on Avon. She completed her training in Occupational Medicine at Birmingham University in 2015 and subsequently gained her Diploma in Occupational Medicine. She joined the team in 2017 and is enjoying helping clients address their health in the workplace.
Jackie Parker – Business Manager
Registered Nurse and Occupational Health Nursing Certificate
Jackie qualified from St Mary’s Hospital, Paddington in 1987 and completed her occupational health nurse training in 1993. Since then Jackie has worked in a wide range of occupational health settings including local government, public services, the food industry, steel foundry and telecommunications.
Jackie joined the team in 2014 and oversees service delivery; she is committed to providing a responsive and professional customer-focused service.
Marleen Moxon – Occupational Health Nurse Advisor
BSc Adult Nursing
Marleen qualified as a Registered Nurse in 2008 following many years working for a local hospice and in a wide range of care providing settings. Once qualified she worked as a community nurse and joined the Occupational Health Services team in April 2013. Marleen enjoys working with clients to address their health needs in the workplace, including fitness medicals and any mental health related situation. She has recently completed a Travel Vaccine course and is able to offer this service in conjunction with her occupational health nursing skills.
Carol Crossley – Occupational Health Nurse Advisor
Registered Nurse & Diploma in the Professional Studies of Nursing.
Carol qualified from The Royal Bolton and Salford College of Nursing in 1993. Carol has worked in a variety of settings within the NHS and Public Sector acquiring a variety of skills and knowledge. Carol has undertaken further University studies, gaining qualifications in Physical Assessment & Clinical Reasoning along with the Extended Nurse Prescribing Course. More recent experience has been within the occupational health setting (Army Officer entrance medical assessments) including qualifications in Audiometry and Spirometry. Carol is also trained in Travel Medicine and excels at policy writing and teaching.
Marlene Perera – Occupational Health Technician
Marlene has a Foundation degree in Health and Social Care Practice and has a wide range of experience in community care and as an Associate Nurse Practitioner at the Royal United Hospital, Bath.
Marlene joined the team as an Occupational Health Technician in July 2017, she likes meeting people from all walks of life and thoroughly enjoys her role here.
Linda Hill – Administrator
Linda qualified from college with a Business Diploma and professional typing qualifications. Linda has worked in both administration and customer service roles in the business and education sectors before joining our team in May 2015, Linda had vast experience in administration having worked in a very busy dental surgery prior to putting her wide range of skills to use in her current role.
Linda is always happy to help, she enjoys the team spirit at Workplace Wellness and endeavours to find a solution to any situation!
Alicia Gliddon – Administrator
Alicia qualified in 1981 with Business Management & AAT accounting level 1. Following a successful career in business, customer services, sales & purchasing with a large international company, she joined Occupational Health in September 2006 after a short break in her career to spend time with her family.
Alicia works in the administration and finance team for the company.
