Forklift Truck Medicals

Before driving a forklift truck, it is advisable to have a medical to identify and potential health issues, but it is not a legal requirement.

You will require a UK driving licence if you are driving on a public road.

The medical consists of:

• Completion of a screening questionnaire to exclude significant medical history including Diabetes, Obstructive sleep apnoea, cardiovascular disease, epilepsy and other significant conditions.

The examination includes:

• Height, weight, BMI
• Blood pressure
• Urine tests
• Hearing test
• Vision test
• Mobility test
